September 2013 Monthly Meeting Report
In preparation for October’s AGM, the final
draft of the amended parent’s Association Constitution was discussed at
September’s Committee meeting. The uniform sale, held in St. Raphael’s Charity
Shop over the summer proved to be very successful: the Committee agreed to
continue with this next year and will investigate the possibility of including
second-hand books for sale too.
In addition
to congratulating all St. Wolstan’s students on their hard work and the
excellent results obtained in the Leaving Certificate, the Principal’s Report
included
- the announcement of “Calamity Jane “ as the next school musical, to be staged after the mock exams in February 2014
- the upgrade of the school’s Wi-fi and broadband provision by the end of 2013
- the introduction of an on-line payment system for school charges
- the request for parental supervision to assist with the many extra-curricular activities available in the school e.g. sports, homework club, school library.
As this was
the last meeting before the formation of a new Committee, the Chairperson
expressed her thanks to all outgoing Committee members for their help and
support over the past year.
