INVITATION: October 11th

The Parents Association is a great place to build a connection with the school, get to know parents from all years, and have your voice heard in the school community. We meet most months during the school year, meetings are informal, and Ms. Barry and Ms. Holmes join us for every meeting.
On October 11th we’ll have a short AGM (about 20 minutes) at 7.30pm, followed by a talk from our Guest Speaker John Lonergan. Former Governor of Mountjoy Prison, John Lonergan has been speaking to parents for over 25 years. His talk on “Parenting – the challenges and the rewards” gets great reviews from other schools.
John will cover why parents must fully accept their children’s reality, including their academic and sporting ability, why parents’ unrealistic expectations of their children can ruin their happiness, why parents should focus on the strengths of their children and the use of social media and modern technology.
We promise to keep the AGM agenda items short, and we're all looking forward to John's talk. Hope to see you on October 11th.
