The Parents Association invite you to a talk on "Internet Safety and Privacy for Children" - presented by Patrick McKenna of Child Watch Ireland
Thursday 23rd February @ 7.30
The presentation focuses on four key areas: crimes against
children; people on the internet; children taking risks; thinking safety and
privacy. These presentations give parents a view of the issues facing children
on the internet today, and most importantly looks at some of the underlying
motivating factors for these issues in the first place. This gives parents the
perspective that they need to make judgements on the needs for safety and
privacy of their individual children and the ability to articulate the cause of
their concerns. The internet is a fantastic resource for children, and it
simply takes some informed care and attention to ensure that it always remains
just that: a fantastic resource for good.
